This past weekend, 2 of our Team Asha Austin runners ran the Dallas White Rock Half-Marathon!
Vishwas ran his 1st ever half-marathon and Ganesh ran his 45th race! Both guys ran a great race - especially given the crazy weather conditions - it was HORRIBLY HUMID, the temperature was 17 degrees warmer than the average temperature, and it was insanely windy!! A big hearty congratulations to both of them!!
In addition, a couple of us volunteered at the Team Asha Dallas water-stop at Mile 9.5 and had ALOT of fun! The Asha Dallas folks also had a desi band playing some awesome music at the water-stop and provided non-stop entertainment to all the runners! A big congratulations to all the Team Asha Dallas runners and volunteers as well for an awesome race and race support! This experience also made me realize again how much effort from thousands of volunteers goes behind into making the race experience a good one for every single runner!

any chance there is a local chapter of Team Asha in Singapore ??? Sounds like a worthy cause...
There is an Asha chapter in Singapore: http://www.ashanet.org/singapore/, but I don't believe that there is a Team Asha group there. You can however always choose to fundraise for Asha for Education via any chapter. Let me know if you need more information/help. Send me a note: charanya0907@gmail.com
